Investing & Regulation

Individuals may not always make inteligent decisions. But, to limit or outright prohibit individuals from investing or spend their hard earned dollar where they see fit is un-constutional.

We work hard for our money, let us do what we want.

My Money, My Choice.

We work hard for our money. It's not Uncle Sams job, or right, to tell us how we can use our money. If normal people want to invest in "high risk" funds, we should be able to. Many stable, proven, investing opportunities are limited to "accredited investors" keeping the "normal folk" from participating.

Private Placement

There are many solid real estate opportunities that "non-accredited" investors do not have access to. If any citizen wants to invest in higher risk investments like, tech startups or real estate funds they should be able to. Keeping high risk, high performance, opportunities from "normal folk" is intellictual and financial segregation.

education

K-12 Education

As early as possible in life, kids need to be taught what it means to have financial freedom, and what it takes to get there: How to make money, how to save money, how to invest money, and the time value of money. Every child exiting highschool should have a credit card, checking account, savings account, retirement account, a health savings account, health insurance, and life insurance.

retirement

Retirement Planning

The government needs to get out of retirement planning. Social Security is a detriment to socity. We are taking ambition from people, depriving them of opportunities to invest their money in public and private companies. People should be free to plan their own retirement, and not be forced to pay for a sub-par goverment version of retirement planning.

We may not agree on all thing,
but we will on most.

Explore Other Issues

Here is a blanket question that can be applied to all of my views. Is it restrictive or liberating? If it's restrictive or burdensome, I'm most likley against it. Is it freeing or liberating, allowing a person the freedom to choose? I'm probably for it. There are only a few areas I think government could (possibly) be helpful: Defending our Freedom, and providing low interest capital for research, infrastructure projects, and education.
